Lauren Hill was diagnosed with DIPG, a form of brain cancer, in November of 2013. She continues to play basketball for Mount St. Joesph University all through her radiation and chemo. The NCAA agreed to move her team's first game this season up nearly two weeks to allow her to a chance to play in a game again.

Lauren continues to be a spokesperson, fundraiser and advocate for other kids battling brain cancer through The Cure Starts Now Foundation where the #Layup4Lauren Challenge to raise awareness about DIPG began. The rules are simple. Because Lauren struggles with bouts of dizziness that have forced her to shoot with her off hand, you take the challenge by spinning around five times, then trying to make a layup with your off-hand. Take the challenge yourself and support The Cure Starts Now at Layup4Lauren.org with a donation. Proceeds will benefit those with DIPG.
